NSW police stated they have exposed an global ritualistic child exploitation content network and charged four Australians for their suspected participation.
Probe Particulars
Detectives from the sex crimes squad indicated that as part of Operation Constantine, an inquiry into the digital circulation of child sexual abuse material involving satanic themes, they disrupted a Sydney-based network.
Police claimed the network was regularly engaged in holding, distributing and facilitating this material through a website that was "managed globally".
Police Actions
Detectives, joined by the tactical unit, executed 6 search warrants in the Waterloo area, Ultimo and Malabar on Thursday morning last week.
- At the Waterloo address, authorities arrested a 26-year-old male who they alleged played a "key position" in the network.
- The man was charged with multiple crimes including holding child exploitation content, distributing abusive material, and spreading and owning bestiality content.
- Bail was denied to appear in court the previous Friday.
Additional Detentions
In an apartment complex in the Malabar area, detectives arrested three men of ages forty-six, 42 and thirty-nine.
They were also charged with possession of child abuse material and additional offenses.
The four individuals are due to return to court at a future time.
