Heads up: contains spoilers: This article discloses details from the recent broadcast of The Celebrity Traitors
The moment became the scene that left audiences at the edge of our seats.
Jonathan Ross throwing his traitor companions in harm's way in a brazen attempt to preserve his position.
However, his strategy backfired - and spectacularly so.
The remaining traitors, Cat Burns and Alan Carr, seemed to pick up on Ross's intentions.
And at a tense round table, they each mercilessly targeted him, voting him out.
She even got his name incorrect - that's got to make the betrayal even worse.
Ultimately, the central figure was gone.
The deceptive alliance fell apart.
Receiving majority support, it was Ross's time to be eliminated.
And exit he certainly did, with what's being billed online as the most memorable farewell address in Traitors history.
The Legendary Exit Speech
"I don't understand where everyone is going wrong.
I'm astonished you've repeated this error," the chat show host said.
"I'm amazed that I'm standing here unfairly, so I don't want to be rude, but you're idiots," he continued.
"I am now, and throughout I've been the whole series totally loyal..." he declared, sparking faces of disbelief among his competitors, prior to finishing his remarks: "...to the traitors."
"That became the most absurd bow out," commented a obviously stunned the rugby player.
Fallout and Responses
Following this, the contestants erupted into celebration.
Ultimately - the faithful have successfully uncovered one of the deceivers.
And not just any traitor.
The green suit jacket wearing, sunglasses loving, Jonathan Ross is out.
According to media analyst the television critic, this represented additional proof of precisely how "merciless" the deceptive contestants can be.
"The traitors' alliance collapsed!
Such an intense installment," she said.
Behind the Scenes
But speaking to the cameras subsequently, the media personality remained gracious regarding his elimination.
"I'm actually happy it concluded and I'm glad Alan targeted me as well," he confessed.
"I'm wishing they might stick together and cruise to success."
On the Celebrity Traitors Uncloaked podcast, he further stated that the perfect approach for deceptive contestants was "stay under the radar, remain somewhat visible.
Which is precisely why the remaining traitors are executing such an excellent strategy."
Earlier Events
Earlier in the show, an additional honest contestant was murdered.
During this round, it was Lucy Beaumont's turn, after ending up the prior broadcast with the unsuccessful group.
The comedian was murdered in style, through direct confrontation, back at the oversized chess set.
She seemed completely astonished when she realised the identities of the dishonest contestants.
"I'm not happy with you at all," she tells the traitors.
"You played this incredibly effectively."
Similar to other contestants, her initial reaction when she realised the host was responsible behind the deception became, "Alan was responsible for Paloma!"
More Excitement
"Confrontational removal proved extremely brutal, and deeply personal," commented Carr.
"I feel like the angel of death."
The media figure, that had also been on the losing team, managed to avoid removal.
However, she felt dissatisfied regarding the reception of her fellow players as she arrived at breakfast the following morning.
"Nobody's pleased that I'm still here," commented the television host.
"For what reason does not a single person believe in my honesty?"
The sports figure immediately clarified that her issue involves, she rarely offers many suspicions, a point Garraway acknowledged.
"I'm totally incompetent, I'm frustrated," she admitted.
Task Tension
During different moments, the focus became the Alan Carr show once more, as the entertainment figure traversed an unstable crossing above water in the most recent task, yelling as he did so.
"You're performing so well," the presenter remarked, trying to encourage him, prompting his response: "Shut up."
"It seemed I was at sports day with the kids.
Resembling an affectionate, pushy parent, I was putting him off," Garraway noted during confessionals.
However, the comedian triumphed, and as he did so, he declared the immortal words: "God my testicles.
I resemble a winner and a eunuch."
